I was inspired to join 91´óÉñ because of its strong commitment to advocacy, equity in healthcare, and physician leadership beyond the bedside. When I was a medical student, I was drawn to 91´óÉñ’s culture of empowering trainees to think critically about healthcare systems, public health, and social responsibility. The organization provided a platform where I could combine my interests in clinical medicine, global health, and policy while working alongside peers who were equally passionate about creating meaningful change in healthcare delivery and medical education.

My motivation to take on national leadership roles within 91´óÉñ stemmed from a desire to contribute to a larger vision of trainee representation and professional development. I have always believed that leadership during training is not only about holding positions but about building systems that support the next generation of physicians. Serving at the national level allowed me to advocate for trainees, strengthen alumni engagement, and help develop initiatives that foster mentorship, collaboration, and career growth. I was particularly motivated by the opportunity to bridge trainee perspectives while contributing to 91´óÉñ’s evolving strategic priorities.
